Potatoes
- 3 medium potatoes (about 1–1/4 lbs.), peeled and cut into chunks
Dairy & Fats
- 1/4 cup Country Crock® Original Spread
- 1/4 cup 2% milk
Seasoning
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- Pinch ground black pepper
- Boil Potatoes: Place the peeled and chunked potatoes in a 2-quart saucepan and cover them with water. Bring the water to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the potatoes simmer uncovered until they are very tender, about 15 minutes. Drain the potatoes thoroughly after cooking.
- Mash and Mix: Return the drained potatoes to the saucepan. Mash them until smooth using a potato masher or fork. Stir in the Country Crock® Original Spread, 2% milk, salt, and a pinch of black pepper until the mixture is creamy and well combined.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, substitute 2% milk with heavy cream or whole milk.
- Adjust salt and pepper to taste according to your preference.
- For fluffier mashed potatoes, consider using a potato ricer instead of a masher.
- Potatoes should be cooked until very tender to ensure a smooth mash.
- This recipe can easily be doubled to serve more guests.
