4.8 from 12 reviews

Chicken Alfredo Monkey Bread is a savory twist on the classic pull-apart bread, combining tender shredded chicken, creamy Alfredo sauce, and melted mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses baked inside fluffy biscuit dough. Perfect as a comforting appetizer or a main dish, this easy-to-make recipe is both delicious and shareable.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Mixture

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works great!)
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Dough and Cheese

  • 3 cups refrigerated biscuit dough (like Pillsbury Grands)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Garnish

  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it’s ready for baking the monkey bread.
  2. Prepare the Chicken Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken, Alfredo sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Cut the Biscuit Dough: Take the refrigerated biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into four equal pieces to create smaller dough pieces perfect for layering.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Add the biscuit dough pieces to the chicken mixture bowl and gently toss so the dough is coated with the sauce and seasonings.
  5. Add Cheese: Fold in the shredded mozzarella cheese and half of the grated Parmesan cheese evenly throughout the mixture for gooey cheesy pockets.
  6. Assemble in the Pan: Grease a bundt pan thoroughly to prevent sticking. Layer the chicken and dough mixture into the pan evenly. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top for an extra cheesy crust.
  7. Bake: Place the bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuit dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Cool and Serve: Remove from oven and let the monkey bread cool in the pan for about 5 minutes. Then, carefully invert onto a serving platter. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Serve warm with extra Alfredo sauce for dipping to enhance the creamy flavor.
  • Pair this dish with a fresh green salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
  • This recipe works great with store-bought rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Ensure the bundt pan is well greased to easily release the monkey bread after baking.
