Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce and Mix: In a small bowl, whisk together corn flour, water, soy sauce, grated ginger, sugar, and sesame oil until smooth. Gradually add this sauce mixture to the ground beef and finely chopped onion, stirring continuously so the beef absorbs the sauce evenly.
  2. Assemble the Pies: Cut the store-bought pastry into approximately 8 cm squares. Spoon the beef mixture onto the center of each pastry square. Fold or cover and seal the edges by crimping with a fork to fully enclose the filling. Place the prepared pies on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  3. Brush and Sprinkle: Brush the tops of each pie with beaten egg yolk to give a shiny, golden finish after baking. Sprinkle sesame seeds generously on top of each pie.
